A faculty member from the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Forestry, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Uğur ÖZCAN, participated in the “Ilgaz Mountain in Every Season Workshop”, organized by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks on 6–7 August 2026 at Ilgaz Mountain National Park.

During the workshop, various topics concerning the future of Ilgaz Mountain National Park were discussed. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Uğur ÖZCAN took part in the studies entitled “Boundary Expansion and Conservation Strategies”, contributing to the assessment of the current situation, identification of existing problems, and development of possible solutions.

As a result of the discussions, short-, medium-, and long-term solutions and priority actions were evaluated, and preliminary reports were prepared. The workshop was successfully concluded with the exchange of common views and recommendations aimed at the conservation and sustainable future of Ilgaz Mountain National Park.
